I'm going to keep worrying anyway. I don't think anyone is going to like you having a friend so much older than you that they don't know. Which makes sense. Because not everyone is worth trusting.

I'm a stranger, Theta. But because we're friends, I do my best to think about the things your brothers would. Which includes the fact that I'll never ask you go to anywhere with me. If I ever meet you it will be in a public place where there are lots of other people around. And that's how it's got to be. For your safety. Because someone not so nice as me could abuse how you trust me.

Yeah, they have, and I'm always careful. Besides, I usually don't like talking to strangers, I get scared. But you're not a stranger anymore.

They won't understand that, or believe it. I could jsut be someone using you. And I intend to not hurt you.

But you're not! You could have hurt me if you wanted and you didn't.

Theta... Theta I wouldn't, I swear it. I promise. But adults worry about kids and they should. They are right to. Because not everyone is a good person and sometimes they hurt you without meaning to and sometimes they hurt you because they mean to. And so I want to do everything right, okay? So that if I ever really figure out how to explain myself, I can meet your family and they'll know I'm a good person who is good to trust and who would never, ever protect you. Okay?

Like in superhero stories. Sometimes the hero makes a friend and first that knows they are good and wouldn't hurt anyone good and that friend knows their secret identity but everyone else isn't really sure of the superhero until he proves himself, right? I need to prove myself. So they see I'm a hero and not a villain.

Oh. I-I think I get it now. Is there any way I can make them see you're the hero?

See, that we have to make plans about. I'm not sure yet, but plans have to be made.

Not at the moment. I'm still trying to get settled in to my new place. One of the clothes driers tried to eat my favorite shirt! What the hell does it think it is, an Ochu?

What's your new place like? Mean clothes drier! What's an Ochu?

It's small. It's something called a studio apartment, which I guess means everything but the bathroom is in one room.

An Ochu is another Class-M creature.

That sounds cozy. Must be nice having everything close together, you don't have to go far to get to it.

What's it like?

Yeah. Cozy. I had a very small room back home.

Would you like me to describe it, or try to draw it?

I like cozy. Especially when there's lots of small spaces to curl up in.

I don't mind. If you can draw it, that would be awesome. But describing it works well too.

I'll work on drawing it. But it's a giant plant that is very angry.

There aren't many small spaces to curl up in my place. I don't have the money for furniture yet.

You could get some cusions and blankets to make it comfy.
